Bireuen Government Distributes Panic Relief Aid to Fire Victims in Gandapura.

The Bireuen Regency Government, Aceh Province, distributed panic relief aid to fire victims in Samuti Rayeuk Village, Gandapura District.

As a form of concern for residents who were victims of the house fire disaster, the Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) through the Social Service has distributed panic relief aid to the location of the incident, Tuesday (7/1/2025) morning.

The semi-permanent house that was completely burned down along with all its contents belonged to Hafsah Abdullah (70), a retired teacher at MIN Samuti Makmur, Gandapura District, which occurred on Tuesday (7/1/2025) at around 05.00 WIB, there were no victims in the incident which caused material losses estimated at IDR 150 million.

For panic assistance, it was handed over directly by the Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, S.H., M.M, accompanied by Deputy Chairman I of the DPRK Surya Dharma and related officials to the victim's child, Khairul Akmal (45) at the location after the incident.

Acting Regent Jalaluddin said that today he, along with his staff and the Deputy Chairman of the DPRK, inspected the house of a resident who experienced a fire disaster this morning, the owner of one of the elderly residents (Lansia) is a retired civil servant, namely a teacher at MIN Samuti Makmur, Gandapura District.

During this visit, we also brought temporary panic assistance, hopefully it can meet the needs of the victims. Regarding housing, we are trying to get assistance through the Bireuen Regency Baitul Mal (BMK).

"Of course, to get housing assistance, you have to go through the applicable procedures or provisions, the point is that the Bireuen Regency Government continues to provide serious attention, God willing, we will try to build a habitable house," explained the Acting Regent in front of the victim's family and the community.

Meanwhile, the victim's son, Munawir (40), a teacher, said that his mother had been living alone at home accompanied by her grandson Syahrul Nizam (21), a student who was on vacation in Banda Aceh.

Because she lived alone at home, before the fire broke out, her mother was not at home because she had gone home to Munawir's house in Dusun Meunasah Trieng, Gampong Samuti Rayeuk. Suddenly at dawn, residents came to the house to inform them that his mother's house was on fire.

"When the residents told me, I immediately went to my mother's house, when I got home I saw the flames had grown large, there were no belongings that could be saved by the residents," he said.

Knowing the incident, a number of residents immediately came to the location to provide assistance and at the same time ask for help from the Bireuen Regency Government firefighters, the fire was extinguished about 1 hour later, the condition of the victim's house was completely burned down.
