The candidate pair (paslon) for regent and deputy regent of Bireuen, Aceh Province, for the upcoming Regional Head Election (Pilkada), Friday (6/9/2024) signed an MoU in the meeting room of the Bireuen Regency People's Representative Council (DPRK).
The activity was attended by members of the Bireuen DPRK, Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslih), General Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) and other invitees.
The MoU that was signed concerns the ability of the candidate pair if elected later to implement the points of the MoU and also Aceh Qanun Number 12 of 2026 and is of a special nature.
In the signing of the MoU, two candidate pairs, namely Murdani Yusuf SE - Tgk. Abdul Muhaimin, candidate pair H Mukhlis ST – Ir H Razuardi MT attended, while candidate pair H Husaini M Amin – Husaini Ilyas only Husaini Ilyas, or the candidate for deputy regent who attended, while H Husaini M Amin or better known as Tgk Batee was unable to attend and informed through an official letter to the Bireuen Independent Election Commission (KIP).
The meeting began with remarks by the Head of the Bireuen KIP Saiful Hadi SE MM who was represented by Safrizal ST. In the meeting, he said that all candidate pairs in Bireuen signed a statement of willingness to implement the Helsinki MoU and the Aceh government law as stated in Aceh Qanun number 12 of 2016 where one of the requirements for the candidate for regent and deputy regent is to sign the agreement.
The temporary chairman of the Bireuen DPRK, Juniadi SH in his speech, among other things, said that the implementation of the Pilkada in Aceh, in addition to referring to Law Number 1 of 2015 and its amendments, also refers to Law Number 11 of 2006 concerning the Government of Aceh (UUPA), and the Aceh Qanun which regulates the Pilkada. Meanwhile, if we look at other regions outside Aceh, of course they do not have UUPA and Qanun.
One of the mandates contained in the UUPA and Qanun is in the form of activities carried out, namely that prospective pairs of regents and deputy regents who will advance in the Pilkada must meet the requirements of being willing to implement the points of the Helsinki MoU and Law Number 11 of 2006 concerning the Government of Aceh and its implementing regulations.
Willing to implement is proven by a statement signed in front of the DPRK institution.
After the speech, the signing of the agreement was continued, starting with the Murdani Yusuf SE - Tgk Abdul Muhaimin pair, then continued with the H Mukhlis ST - Ir H Razuardi MT pair and finally H Husaini Ilyas, the candidate for deputy regent paired with Husaini M Amin.
At the end of the meeting, a group photo was taken. "The candidate for regent H Husaini M Amin was unable to attend and has informed him through an official letter, and it will be done in the near future, also attended by members of the Bireuen DPRK and the conditions are adjusted," said Safrizal.
Meanwhile, the three candidate pairs (Paslon) for regent and deputy regent of Bireuen based on the results of the health examination were declared healthy. Then the test of being able to read the Quran, all three based on the results of the jury's assessment were declared able to read the Quran.
This was revealed by the Head of the Bireuen KIP, Saiful Hadi SE MM through the KIP commissioner, Safrizal SPd to several media some time ago.
Safrizal said that the health certificates issued by the dr Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital (RSUD) had been submitted to the liaisons of each candidate pair, then uploaded to the application and it was discovered that the three candidate pairs were declared healthy.
