POSITIVE MINDSET

Mindset is the collection of ones thoughts and beliefs that shape ones thought habits and thought habits is how one thinks, feels and do. They are related to the mindset so it helps to understand attitude and beliefs. Mindset is simply a person’s way of thinking and their opinions.

Positive mindset is the act of focusing on the good side in every situation. It means approaching the good and bad in life with the expectation that things will go well. Having a positive mindset simply means making a positive thinking habit and making the best out of any situations

Why is having a positive mindset important?

Positive mindset helps with stress management and can help improve ones overall heath. Some of the health benefits are lower rate of depression, increase life span, reduce pains and improve immune function. It also helps to develop positive mental attitude

Examples

Negative: I have never done this before, I cannot do it.
Positive: I can do this even though this is my first time I will put in my best.

Negative: I am not beautiful enough why did I not get that shape.
Positive: I am beautiful no matter how I look.

Negative: There is no way I can get there because I do not have any connection.
Positive: I will work hard and get there even if I do not have connections.

What to do to achieve a positive mindset;

  1. Start the day with positive affirmation
    Affirmations are specific statements that help one to overcome negative thoughts. Positive affirmation influences ones mindset and increase ones motivation, energy and enthusiasm towards breaking negative habits and achieving goals.
  1. Focus on the present
    Focusing on the present means that not worrying about what happened in the past and not fearing what will happen in the future. It simply means living for the present moment.
  1. Turn your failures to lessons.
    Mistakes are bound to happen therefore it is normal to make mistakes but learning from the mistake is the best choice to make. Instead of paying more attention on how you failed, think about what you are going to do to correct that mistake next time. Turn your failure to a lesson.

  2. Transform negative self-thought to positive self-thought
    Replace negative thought with positive thought every time negative thoughts comes to mind.

  3. Find positive friends and mentors
    Look for people who influence you positively to move with. When you move with positive people you will hear positive words that will influence your life positively.
