This week's theme is birds! You can place any feathered bird-as if it is a domestic or wild bird!

You can add a small description: where and how the picture was taken, what your personal history is related to it!

This was taken in Kolkata, India. The picture of the famous monument known as Victoria Memorial, which was built as a tribute to Queen Victoria in Kolkata.
While taking the picture I was lucky to have an Eagle swoop down in full flight and managed to get into my frame. The eagle in full flight is a majestic sight and I was lucky to capture this.

This handsome guy is called Amazon Kingfisher. They eat fish, diving in the rivers up to 1,5 meter deep. You can find them in Central and South America - from Mexico to Northern Argentina and Uruguay.

А это бойцовские петухи, которых мы увидели во Вьетнаме. Они зарабатывают свой хлеб в честной драке. Петухи поджарые и реально злые. Мы, конечно, тоже сделали ставку на одного из них в букмекерской конторе у старого вьетнамца. Но наш петух продул. Хотя мы так его поддерживали, кричали, как ненормальные, и бегали вокруг него кругами. Зато нам дали утешительный приз: игрушечный петух, который теперь живет в нашей квартире:)
