Many people seems confused when they see one whether it is a dragonfly or a damselfly. Normally both of them look similar. But if you look closely there are huge differences between damselfly and dragonfly.

When we consider about the dragonfly, their hind wings and fore wings are unequal in size. But those are equal in size of a damselfly. In dragonflies, their wings are broad at the base, and in damselfly wings they are narrow at the base. If you couldn’t identify these features well, okay you can identify both of them clearly from this one. When resting dragonfly spread their wings out just like a plane. But when resting damsel fly held their wings close to their body.

What is the specialty of this scarlet basker? How can we identify them.?

Scarlet basker looks similar to the male crimson darter. Because both of them are red. But you can clearly identify this scarlet basker from black spots on their tale. And also their females are yellowish in color. So that means this one is a male dragonfly.

Thankyou
