DIARY GAME[8/3/22]: THROWING MY HUSBAND A SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY.

Happy weekend everyone, I'm here today to share how I throw my husband a surprise birthday party on tuesday, I have been planning the surprise for about two weeks now and finally the day came and I was super excited about it, my husband is not the type to celebrate his birthday as growing up ,his family didn't really have a culture of celebrating birthdays while I grew up with a family that takes birthdays as a big deal, so since we got married I have always try my best for him to have amazing birthdays and this time around I planned it with his colleagues, I reach out to one of them about two weeks ago and the planning started. I was able to get the cake, snacks, drinks and the colleagues decorated the office.

How the day went

My alarm woke me up at 12 am, I have set the alarm earlier so as to be the first to wish my husband a happy birthday, so immediately I woke up, I went to YouTube on my phone and started playing a happy birthday song and that woke my husband up with a smile, I told him a happy birthday and drag him up to dance, He danced for a little while and we started praying, we prayed for about an hour, we thank God for a new year and also prayed for a great year ahead and we slept off not long after. I told him before he slept off that I will like to take him out before he goes to work and he agreed. I woke up once more at about 6am and started getting my daughter ready for school. We got to her school at about 7:40, I already made plans with the baker to pick up the cake at 8:00am and my husband car is with the mechanic, so I made plans with a family friend to take us to the office. He was already waiting for me at my daughter's school. We left for the cake from the school and them headed back home to pick my husband. When we got home, my husband was still relaxing and watching TV, so we hurried him up and told him we want to take him out, he went to feed his dogs and then came back to dress up for the outing, we set out around 10:20am to the office and thank God there was no traffic on the way, the other people in the office have been communicating with me and they are supper ready for us, I had to use something to cover the cake in the car so my husband won't seen it. The office is about 40 minutes drive away.

At the Office

My husband was the first to alight from the car and headed to the office before I went to meet him and the family friend was coming with the cake behind. My husband was really surprised when he opened the door, he was not expecting it at all.

We really got him, he was really happy and we made his day, the surprise party was about an hour long, we all spoke about what we liked about him and how he has influenced our lives positively. I personally spoke about how he has influenced my prayer life and how he always wants the best for me and every body around almost said the same thing. He also gave vote of thanks and thank everyone and God who made the day possible. The snacks was shared and we cut the cake as well.

There was not much work to do again in the office and I needed to pick up my daughter, my husband wanted to download a file before going home, so I waited for him and we left the office around 1:26 pm, we headed to my daughter school, as school closes around 2pm, we picked her up and went home. When I got home I made lunch and also fed my daughter and bath her and she slept off. My husband continued working from his computer and I watched a movie or two before we know it,it was night time already, we ate dinner and retired to bed not long after.

My husband was really glad about his surprise birthday and I'm also happy I was able to make him smile that way. It was really a beautiful day and joyous one and thank you all for reading and been part of our joy.
