Promoting Steemit In Yaba College Of Technology| More Distribution Of Flyers In Campuses - Day #3 (August 23, 2021) by @chrisbrood

For some weeks now I have been in churches, markets and streets of Lagos distributing flyers and telling people about Steemit. But on this I decided to visit one of the higher institution in Lagos then I visited Yaba College Of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria.

I made my promo steem shirt and enough flyers to make my promotion more effective. Someone had called me as I was standing to buy something to ask me the shirt am wearing is about what, that was the day I knew the shirt on it's own promot Steemit without me knowing, so I wear it most times of the week. That's me on my way to yabatech to tell others about this awesome platform.

I entered the school in the evening hours of the day then I was told that the full time students haven't resumed physically they still run online classes and the part time students only have classes in the evening hours of the day. So I scouted round the school for people to talk to then I noticed some were at the sport center probably their lecturers are not around. That is the sport center entrance and inside the sport center.

As i walked round the sport center I meet some students who were on their phones, they were so engaged on their phones then I discovered they were playing Mili Militia.

I had to talk to them to give me their attention some of them did while others were still on their phone.

I began to address those that gave me attention then gradually others stopped the game and began to listen. They haven't heard about Steemit before this was their first time so I needed to really explain to them what Steemit is all about.

Some of them have done some online business before so I really need to convince them that Steemit is more than just an online business platform.

I distributed the flyers to each of them, they realized I was serious and gave me their rapid attention.

After much talk I allowed them to ask me any question which they did, I answered their questions but they were still other things they need to know, so I collected their phone numbers and created a Steemit mentorship group where I teach and expose them to what Steemit is all about. Some have told me they will be joining Steemit at the end of the week.

It was really fun for me as more students would get to know about Steemit and would love to join, for now I will be taking the school bit by bit till i raise other students that will not just join the platform but also promot Steemit with me in the school.
