Artificial Intelligence is the articulation of human thoughts through data algorithms, patterns and machine learning. It understands data and can perform end-to-end tasks single handedly without human intelligence.

Artificial intelligence system is built basically to have cognitive skills like learning, self correction, just to mention but a few. It is built to learn reason and make decisions and judgments just like humans.

The smartphones implore the artificial intelligence technology in products like Apple products which uses Siri and Google which uses Alexa. These are special artificial intelligence enabled programs.

TYPES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

There are basically 3 known types of artificial intelligence on the genre of simulated human behaviours.

• Artificial Narrow Intelligence:

This can be called the weak intelligence technology that involves handling single tasks such as facial recognition. It operates on a limited goal oriented set of rules.

Artificial Narrow Intelligence can be broken down into Reactive Artificial intelligence or Limited Memory Artificial Intelligence

Reactive Artificial Intelligence is an artificial intelligence technology with no memory capabilities and only reacts to data inputs and given outputs. Limited Memory Artificial Intelligence is more advanced as it can retain limited memory or data and use it to make better predictions. A good example of Artificial Narrow Intelligence is the facial recognition.

• Artificial General Intelligence:

This refers to Artificial intelligence technologies that embodies human intelligence. They possess the unique ability to learn, predict solutions to problems and self correct. They are developed to think and act rationally and humanly too.

It is built on the basic theory of mind concept, possessing human ability to have emotions needs thoughts and so on. There have not been any known significant application for this genre, but research has been progressive over the years.

• Artificial Super Intelligence

Many believe that this type is the future and peak of artificial intelligence because it possesses virtually all attributes of a strong intelligence system.

This is actually the future where machines would possess human-like abilities, emphatic and self aware. Possessing beautiful mental sophistication to supercede that of humans, with non-aging features. It's going to be a huge success in technology.

BENEFITS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

• It provides comfort and mental support to humans as basic tasks could be performed by sophisticated brilliance of the artificial intelligence, from the comfort of our homes.

• It is very useful in relaxation. Using the artificial intelligence enable programs such as YouTube and Netflix, interesting movies could be recommended to audience just to satisfy their interest and provide happiness.

DEMERITS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

• Many underdeveloped countries or third-world countries might not be able to afford these technology due to various limitations such as poverty strict or illiteracy in technology as regards the handling of these artificial technologies.

• This artificial intelligence technology is a predicted form of technology which would replace human labour, taking over basic industrial activities. It is also most probable that it could end the human race. Constructive criticism has shown that it could happen sooner or later.
