Hello friends how is it great people am glad you are there. Today, I would like to show you the process it takes to obtain stone aggregate used for buildings and constructions.

It begins with the first picture, that's the stone bed and mining site where the stone bed is being drilled with a drilling machine and thereafter set to explode by ignition system.

At this stage, the Rock or lime stone is broken into some size thus:

This is the limestone mining site after the exploration, it comes in sizes, smaller size are loaded to the transporting trucks manually or mechanically.
But the heavier lumbs are further broken after the explosion before transportation thus:

This type of crushing machines is made up of mouth where the lumbs of stone are being thrown into for crushing and as it crushes, it all comes down to the basket where made of different holes that selects and dispenses the aggregate to the chambers as partitioned in sizes. This is how aggregate are seperated to sizes.

There are different sizes of aggregate such as the dust, one inch, half inch, three-quarters, engine head.

This engine head so called is those higher sizes of aggregate that jumps out through the head which implies it could not fit or pass through any of the basket hole of aggregate size separation. It is called the head engine according to this particular form of crushing machines.

The division of labour in this type of crushing machines goes that the machine itself comes with a deck and upon this deck that sizeable lumbs of lime stones that is to be crushed are being loaded with machine or manually and one worker like that woman you are seeing on the above picture, climbs up to be transferring the stones to the engine mouth for crushing. While the other workers are arranged according to the chamber of separating basket collecting the fall out as the crushing process continues and transport to hip them according to their size as mentioned earlier. Those sizes of aggregate transported are called the finished products that we use today in building construction, bridges construction and a lot more of construction works.
