Hello steemians,
This is my second entry for the contest promoting steem conducted by @stephenkendhal .
In this post I'm going to suggest an idea to promote steem. More than a idea what I'm going suggesting is like an event.
The core of the idea is to create a YouTube channel called Steem-Charity and do charity works with the income generated from that YouTube channel. Until now there isn't a medium between the steemit and people, this channel will acts as the bridge between the steemians and non steemians and show the world what's happening inside the steemit. That channel must be created and maintained by the most influential and reliable person you know, so that every steemian would not hesitate to support the channel. With the support from the fellow steemians that channel will get recognised and monetized in no time. After the monetization of the channel, charity works done with the channel's income can also be shared to the viewers via that channel. This would create a good impression about steemit to whoever that comes across the channel. We can do marketing to that channel by saying that every subscriber and viewer of that channel is doing a charity work. Whoever wants to be a part of good event will subscribe to the channel. In addition to all these advantages we will only post the best contents in that channel.
Weekly contests should be conducted for the content to post in that channel. With the quality content and good deeds done with that channel, there's no way that channel would go unnoticed by the people. After reaching a certain level of subscribers every video we post in that channel will reach to millions and millions of people . Every video that gets trending in YouTube will get attention of millions of new people who haven't heard about steemit. This might take determination and hard work to reach what I'm expecting to happen. But there are lots and lots of people in steemit who have that kind of determination.
A community can be created just for the content preparation and promotion of that YouTube channel. Many contests can also be conducted to the subscribers of that channel to promote the channel. If everything goes as I said in this post, ways to promote steem with that channel is countless.
I hope you like my idea. Thanks @stephenkendal for giving a chance to express my idea.
