Happy new year to my steem-database friends and my steemit family as a whole I'm delighted that we made it irrespective of the challenges of life. I was able to spend my holiday in my home town Amala, Imo state Nigeria . And I have a younger sister that i have been telling about steemit but i used this chance to teach her and tell her face to face what steemit is. She asked me the following questions.

Not really, but you interact with people by commenting on their post and by voting and publishing your own original content that is free from copyright unlike facebook and tiktok you can repeat someone writeup but on steemit you must be original unless you quote or cite the source of the post from a free site. Steemit rewards you for writing quality post and at the end of 7days your post will pay out and will see claim reward that will go to your wallet that's how you will start making money. Secondly this markdowns we are using makes it different too.

• What is steem and steempower?

These are the tokens that you will earn as a reward here on steemit. Steem is transferable for sale when is still on the liquid steem side while steem power is like your savings that is locked up for you by the system for future use before you can withdraw it you have to power it down back to liquid steem.

• Who are those people that can vote.

Everyone is eligible to vote even you but your voting for now does not have power because you dont have much steem power .take a look at my vote when i click on the green arrow it will show 0.01 yes that's because i have steem power that's reasonable there are other higher persons that gives your post meaning they are the curators, apart from personal people, community vote and witness vote.we also have the higher curators that is known as SC01 and SC02.

Every community here on steemit has what they want,It depends on the publication you will like to be making , we have so many communities as time goes on and you get to know steemit the more you can choose your favourite community. But for your introduction post and achievement posts it will be on Newcomers community.
