Hello fellow steemians, greetings.
I am so much happy to also partake in this wonderful contest and I’ll use this opportunity to say a big thank you to @nattybongo for organizing such an amazing contest to help promote steem in the market sector.

Also, I’ll like to thank the leader of PromoSteem @arie.steem, for the good works always and the support.

Today, I decided to move to one or two shops in town to promote steem and get investors and business people on board.
I got into an electrical and a home appliances shop here in Kintampo to embark on the steem promo. I met this gentleman who happily ushered me into the shop, thinking I was going to get something from the shop. I told him I’ve not come to purchase anything but rather, I’m there to have a chat with him about steemit.

He then told me though the place is somehow busy, but he’ll just give me some few minutes for us to have the discussion. I thanked him and asked him if he knows anything about crypto currencies. His response was that he had heard of it from a friend but haven’t had enough time to look at it into details.

He then asked what is the steem about? I see it written in your shirt. I asked him if he had heard of it and he said no.
I then told him is a platform where individuals can create contents daily and earn some rewards as well. He seemed so interested even at the beginning of the conversation. He told me he has account in almost all the various social media platforms but he doesn’t gain any rewards from there and he used to write motivational quotes but he has stop for sometimes now. I made him understand that steemit is just like the various social media platforms but the different thing here is, with steemit, you are able to gain rewards from the contents you’ll create.

I also tried to find out more from him the owner of the shop and he said it was for his uncle. He is a student and since they are on vacation, he is there to help him.
I was really happy for him. I noticed that they accept mobile money for transactions. So, I made him understand that, how technology is growing day in day out, a time is coming, whereby no one will carry physical money to do transactions. And as a result his uncle can even add steem to his transaction methods to have a very secured and fast process.

I made him also understand that, when he joins this unique platform, it’ll even help him advertise their products on the various platforms so members to see and place orders for such products and even make payments using sbd and streem.
At this moment, Alex was so much interested in joining. He asked me what the way forward was and that does it require that he pays money before he joins?
I told him within a blink of an eye, he can get his own account on steemit and start steeming. I told him, joining steem is absolutely free. You’ll don’t need to pay anything to someone before you’ll be signed in.

Speaking to him, I saw that from the questions he was asking, Alex is a very smart and intelligent person.
He asked if there are any rules on the platform. I told him to be frank, just as in every institution and group there are rules, so does steemit also has its rules and when he joins he’ll learn more and more to get these rule and not to violate things.
I told him how important to be creative and be able to create good content and also available plagiarisms in his posts.
I told him when he joins he has to produce contents that will name people fall in love with his works always.

At this moment, Alex was so convinced to join steemit. I then sent him the link to help him sign in for free instantly. I guided him through the signing in process and finally he had an account with the user name @khalexis

It was getting late as they were about to pack the items inside and close. I asked him to subscribe to the newcomer’s community and read through the achievement 1 task so that he call write his own achievement 1 task in the evening when he gets home.

He did that and sent the feedback (Achievement 1 task) to me on WhatsApp. I went through and it was good so I showed him how to add the various tags and also take his picture with the writings on the paper. I then took him through how he’ll post and he did just that.
