An accused of MURDER was brought to your court for prosecution and execution IF confirmed guilty .
He was indeed confirmed as accused , by all evidence .
At the point of his execution , another , an innocent man volunteered to be executed in the place of the accused , being the judge what would you do ??
Execute the volunteer and free the guilty ??
Execute the guilty irrespective of the plea by the volunteer to take the place of the guilty??
Would you execute both the guilty and the volunteer??
How would you justify any of the alternatives ??
This is very dicey situation and indeed a dilemma but justice must be served. If someone wants to take the offenders place, then it's ok.
This is actually the picture of what Jesus did for us. He took our place to set us free from condemnation.
