Good day fellow steemians, it is another day to be here again, I am so happy to be here in the Steem for Betterlife community. This is a community I have always had the longing to belong to and honestly, I see this as an opportunity. This is my first post in this community and all thanks to the steemit engagement challenge. Today we are talking about our various activities we take to protect the environment and I will be sharing with you all some of the things that I do help protect my environment.

ACTIVITIES I DO TO PROTECT MY ENVIRONMENT.

Gardening.

One of the things I do to protect the environment is gardening. We are in a generation where by forestation is the order of the day. People are busy cutting down trees and natural plants to build factories and companies. It is no news that trees and natural plants provide the environment with clean air. Cleans air is very necessary for the survival of our environment. So in an effort to protect the environment I do gardening, some are just flowers and other are crops that can be consumed.

Farming.

Farming is also a great way or protecting the environment. It is important for us to farm our products and reduce the reliance on company manufacture products. We all know that companies increase the damage that is being done to a society by emitting waste gas and products that are harmful to us and the environment. By farming I cultivate crops that can be used to replace farm company products, my family and I depend mostly on products we get from the farm.

Cleaning refuse areas around the road.

The amount of dirt that is being dumped along our roads is alarming. This has very big effect on our environment and also our health. Refuse around the house causes air pollution and is also a good breeding ground for flies and mosquitoes. In order to take care and protect my environment, I usually embarked on a one-man activity to clean this area. Below is a picture of me cleaning a place that was considered as a refuse center in my quarter.

Use of solar energy.

We all know that hydroelectric power though great has an adverse effect on the environment. In an effort to reduce the negative effect, I have resorted to using Solar energy. Solar energy is more advantageous and has little harm to the environment.

I am presently living in wum in the North West Region of Cameroon. Below is my location

CONCLUSION

As you can see from the above activities, I do believe that environmental protection is very necessary and I will try my best to always protect my environment. It is of the utmost importance that we do this for our children and childrens children. Thanks to the MODs of the Steem for Betterlife community for such an incredible topic to discuss on.
