The Dairy Game ||14-10-2024|| Taking My Daughter to Her Nursing Training Facility the First Time

Greetings to you all Steemians. It's been awhile I have written a post here, shit happened and got the better part of me. But I am back and got a daily game story to share. Today I want to share a special day in my family life, how I took my daughter to the nursing facility where she started training for the first time yesterday, October 14th.

Earlier last week, I had to take my 16 years old daughter to a private hospital for an interview. She was hoping to secure a spot in their two-year practical nursing training program before potentially heading to university. I'm proud to say she aced the interview and got in!

We spent the week getting everything ready for her big day. By yesterday, October 14th, we had all her supplies sorted and she was all set to begin her training today.

In the morning, our house was buzzing with excitement. Everyone gathered to see my daughter in her brand-new nursing trainee uniform. She looks adorable in the new nursing trainee uniform with the new sandals and all.

However, you know how it's for teenagers, one moment they are confident, the next minute they are shy. Just as we were about to say go well, she said she felt shy to go to the hospital all by herself on her first time. She insisted she will not go unless daddy goes with her just like we did on her interview day. Well, Daddy loves her daughter, so daddy must go with her.

As soon as my daughter finished dressing up in her uniform, time was already late, and I had to hurriedly dress up without having my bath. I wanted us to get to the hospital as early as possible to avoid any negative reactions from the hospital officials since today is her first time attending training.

As soon as I got dressed, I took her on a bike to go to the hospital. We couldn't go with the car because the cost of a premium fuel pump is now too exorbitant, and also the hospital isn't that far from our place. Before we went, we took some pictures of my daughter in her new nursing trainee uniform.

Being a curious Dad, I was very interested to witness how my daughter will feel and how the hospital officials would receive her on her first day of training. My taking her there by myself wasn't just about her not to be shy but to see her reactions first hand.

The journey from our place to the hospital was only about a 5 minutes ride, and sooner than expected we arrived at the hospital. Before we could enter the hospital, I asked my daughter to pose for a few snaps and some selfies with me. These pictures will be a memorial for us about her first day as a nursing trainee.

When we got into the hospital reception hall, people were already sitting there including some trainees nurses and some other nurses that are workers in the hospital. Fortunately for us, the medical director of the facility has not come to the office. That was a big relief for my daughter as she didn't get to hear any negative comments from anyone. I equally felt relieved as I didn't have to help her with any reason for coming late on her first day.

After waiting for about 15 minutes for the medical director to come, one of the serving nurses told me that I should go and that my daughter will be okay. They took her to the medical director's office to wait there while I was taking my leave from the hospital. Nonetheless, I didn't forget to take took some pictures of the nurses in the hospital reception hall.

On my way home, I treated myself to my favorite breakfast at a local restaurant - fufu and egusi soup with butter leaf and a piece of goat meat. The food was fresh and steaming, full of delicious flavors.

After finishing my meal, I headed home on my bike, still savoring the taste of my breakfast.
