Goodybest's Diary Tuesday 28th May, 2024: Celebrating My 8th (bronze) Marriage Anniversary!

I've been in a relationship with my husband for 11 years now, we dated for 3 years and then decided to spend the rest of our years together, so we got married 28th May 2016, this day is special for us, we usually celebrate it every year, because I must say it's not easy to stay in marriage especially the era we are living in, where people emphasized on their happiness and interest first, even some married people doesn't have respect for this sacred union but we work hard daily to have a happy marriage.

So this year's anniversary is special and memorable because I celebrated it with my husband, okay the thing is that business usually took my husband either out side our state or country with prior to our anniversary, making us to celebrate differently at different locations. We were so happy to be together at our bronze anniversary, even the kids too! Over the years we've been a good companion to each other and our union is blessed with 5 wonderful kids, 4 boys and a girl.

I was thinking of a gift to get for my husband, just to appreciate him for being a great husband and father so two things came across my mind, designers shoes or smart watch, well I later settled for a smart watch because he has a lot of designers shoes. So I went to one of the Techno shops in my city and bought the watch.

The watch is nice and it has so many features! When we woke up in the morning I gave him the gift and he was so happy! We tightened our promises to always be there for one another come what may! It's not been bed roses 🌹 all this years, we have our ups and downs, our difficulties, but one thing is for sure, we will remain committed to our marriage. Our marriage withstand the test of time, for now we don't know what the future hold for us, what challenges will come Our way but we know one thing for sure, to always stand by each other.

Sincerely, I didn't expect anything much to happen during the day again so I lose my hair in the evening and weave it back at the saloon, after that I wanted to bought a cake 🍰 at eatery around 5:40 then I got a call from my husband to come back home, and he insisted even when I told him my intentions, so I went back. I met him outside with the kids and one of his friends so I was like, do you want to take us out? But he said they will be no need for that, so I went inside to change up, that was how I got a surprise 🫢.

He bought a cake, 5 Fish barbeques, five plates of prepared cow skin, two plates of chops, wine and drinks, Wow 😳 I was over the moon! I mean my hubby is always on point, I ran outside and gave him a warm hug, he told me that he invited some friends, and his workers in the office. I invited @eliany too and some friends already came around so I quickly changed up, and dressed the kids too!

The merriment began in no time, Eliany came around and she gave me a bottle of wine, and she was our photographer, hahaha thanks dear! After everything it was time to cut our cake

We were enjoying the rest of the day, and my husband dropped some of our friends who didn't came with car in their homes because it was 10 in the night already, we showered and the kids went to bed.

I'm grateful for the day, and I pray that Jehovah God should continue to be the third cord in our marriage, may he help us to be an exemplary couple, this was it! Thanks you!
