Hello fellow steemians. I hope you are all having a wonderful week? It has always been a good experience participating in such interesting and memorable contest like these. In the case of this contest or the topic, we are expected to bounce back in life and write about some past moments and also look at our situation now and talk about the future we are yet to meet. I personally will like to talk on a sad moment in my past. After which i will talk about the future too, which I expect it to be good.

A PAST MOMENT IN MY LIFE

As a young kid, I was lucky enough to have both parents around me. Which i know very well that most people never had that opportunity. I saw how my parents cherished and loved me as their kid. I my family was a Muslim family, so I was raised differently from the other kids in my neighborhood. As a Muslim I was sent to both school and Islamic school at the same time. It was a kind of little burden on me. This was because I had to work hard in order to achieve both goals. With time I was able to complete junior high school after which I was sent to a different place to further with my education that is the senior high level. After senior high school, that was when the challenges or the difficulties i ever experienced in my life happened.

I was told that there was no money available at the moment for me to continue at the moment. So I was then told to stay back home until they get the money. It wasn’t that the money wasn’t there at all, but something came up which required them to use the money that was meant for me to use to go to school was used in solving the problem that came up. So nothing was left behind for me to use to go. I was really worried and thought that i wouldn’t be ever able to continue with my educational career. Within some short period it was a new academic year and it was time to go and buy forms and apply for the various schools one wants to attend. I was lucky enough for they were able to gather some funds for me to go to school that year.

After i was enrolled and was given a day to report. Which i saw to it that i report early in order to prevent any problem for not coming early. Upon arriving on campus, i didn’t know exactly what college was and had no idea about it either. I was told that the school’s hostels or rooms which students live in was filled up. Luckily for me, a friend asked me to come along and stay at his place for a night or two , and search for a room or hostel in the neighborhood or around campus the next day. He told me i will definitely get a hostel to live in for there are enough rooms in the community. So we went the next day but didn’t get one. On the second day after he was coming back from class he told me that he has found one. We then went and talked to the owner about the price.

I was told that i can decide to live alone or live with someone. But each comes with a different price. It turned out that living alone cost more than living with someone. Looking at the price, i wouldn’t be able to afford to live alone. Even the amount I was to pay to live with someone was a new issue. Which was because i was short of money. So i had to call home for them to send me an additional money. The money was paid and I had to live together with someone.

Later that night my roommate and i introduced ourselves to one another. We had some little conversations and then went to sleep, for we were all having class the following day. It was also going to be my first day of attending class so i need to go to class early. After some weeks i got to realized that students were supposed to be feeding themselves. As a new comer i didn’t know so didn’t come with food and there was only little money on me. I really found it difficult for my first semester stay on campus. I prepared myself the second semester and came with food and some little money on me. My life after high school was a hectic and stressful moment in my life. For i had gone through so many challenges and even after i found myself in the university.

HOW AM I DETERMINED FOR THE FUTURE AHEAD?

After the challenges i have gone through after completing high school, that is the struggle my family and i went through before I was able to go to the university. I have advised my self to stay focused and determined for the future ahead. I am trying as much as I can to learn the new knowledge and skill I am being taught in order to put it into a good use. Aside from going to school, I am also doing my possible best to learn some new skills back at home. That is during vacations in order to support it with the knowledge I will be learning at school. What i am really learning back at home, that is the new skill is the skill of how to repair consoles or video games. I also buy some of the video games and electronics to sell in order to sharpen my skill of entrepreneurship.

With the vast amount of knowledge on the internet today, i am also trying to make some money on the internet as well. Me being on the steemit for instant is a way of making money from the internet.
So i am currently in full hope that the future will be bright. That is if I stay dedicated to all the above things that I said I am engaged in and work extra hard. Then I can assure my self a bright future.☺️
