Although you need to be strategic with it. Engage people that are likely to build and expand your network. This way you are aware of the opportunities in your career. To achieve this, attend more workshops, programs and seminars related to your career path. Join organizations or fellowships that will build your network. Engage in voluntary jobs and internships.

Don’t be afraid to try out new things. Staying in your comfort zone can be dangerous to growth. So, don't just take on opportunities that you are familiar with; take what you can learn the most from.
Do your research. Research helps you narrow your focus. This way you are aware of the current skills needed in your industry? And if they interest you, work towards getting those skills. It is easy to be outdated once you stop learning. So, skill up! You become easily replaceable when you are redundant!

Work on not just having a job (if you are privileged enough to do so) but on building a career. So, don't be all over the place- what is your speciality and what is unique about you? An unpopular opinion is to be a bit selfish with your choices. This is YOUR life and if you don't get what your soul calls for, you may end up resenting other people for their successes in life. Be aggressive in your career development. These years are crucial!
