I want to talk about smart plugs. This is a new built-in technology that allows you to connect to the internet through the use of WiFi. It also allows you to power your electrical devices such as your phone, TV, refrigerator, and other electrical or electronic items which you can control remotely via the use of your smartphone, tablet, voice commands, or smart speaking.

What Smart Plug Does

Smart plugs allow you to charge your electrical items by turning them off your electrical items at any time, automating them with timers. Smart plugs as a tech gadget also help you to connect with other home devices.

It also can be used as a lamp, to turn on lights in your home. It provides you with peace of mind and less stress for you to turn on and off your electrical items remotely instead of getting up from your bed when you are already tired. Another good thing that a smart plug does is that it can monitor the usage of energy which helps you to control/regulate your electricity bills.

There is a smart plug that requires you to install a smart sub, which acts as a go-between your internet router and the plug itself. Some smart plugs are connected to their WiFi, whereas some will have to use Bluetooth to connect to them.

Once you have set up your smart plug, you can plug in any of your electrical items and control them using the smart speaker or through the app. If you contact your devices using WiFi, you can control them from anywhere you are.

However, smart power socket is an alternative to a smart plug which you can also install in your home. Smart power socket works the same way smart plugs work and also may perform the Se function. Let's take a look at the types of smart plugs.

Types of Smart Plug

Bluetooth Smart Plug and WiFi Smart Plug are the two types of smart plugs that are currently available in the market.

The Wi-fi smart plug is the type of smart plug that allows you to connect to the internet through the use of WiFi so you can control it using your tablet or phone from anywhere you are. Also, you can use your voice and control it if you so wish.

The Bluetooth Smart Plug is similar to that of the WiFi Smart Plug which is only connected to your tablet or smartphone through the use of Bluetooth that allows you to controlled whenever you are at home.
