Asslamu Alikum

Greetings all, 2023 has come to an end, and the new sun of 2024 has risen with fresh hope. Previous year was one of the best years of my life, but there's no denying that I witnessed the most broken version of myself. And the truth is, if I hadn't broken, I wouldn't be here today. Alhumdulillah, with Allah's abundant blessings, the best version of me is stepping in 2024.

I'm here to participate in the Contest "Weekly Reflections", with this week's theme 2023 Recap & hopes for 2024 organized in Steem for Betterlife community. So let's look at some reflections.

Memorable Moments and achievements from this Year;

By birth I'm a Muslim but I never paid heed to religious acts espically Salah (Namaz), which is one of the five pillars of Islam. This Ramadan (Month in Islamic calendar) for the first time I started praying 5 times obligatory Salah. The mental peace I found merely through performing Salah couldn't have been attained elsewhere, and I take pride in the fact that my Mighty Creator, deemed me worthy to worship Him and bestowed me towards the right path. This is infact my greatest achievement of life.

Understanding and accepting oneself is an important achievement in one's life. In my view, I've gained a profound understanding of myself. This year I closely examined those aspects of myself that I never wanted to confront. I've not only examined them but also accepted them.

Another significant event that occurred this year is that I started reading books/Novels. If you were to look at my past self, she would say "books are not my thing, even sight of thick books makes me dizzy". But now, I am obsessed with books, and I never thought I would be so deeply influenced by them. And that, too, is something I take pride in. Two books that helped me make a move for better were Timeless seeds of advice and Reclaim your Heart, some pages made me cry my heart out.

I can't put movements because Evey single movement spent with my family was a memorable blessings. I am glad I have them by my side.

Lesson Learned in 2023;

I learned the importance of putting my self and my mental health prior to any other being.
It's a simple concept but took me years to understand; If I stand out, if I'm not functioning acc. to my image you created in your brain, if I'm not perfect, too dark, too introverted, too dumb. It's not my concern, Someone's vision of me is not my concern. I live for me, I will be answerable for my deeds only. I shifted my focus solely on my happiness. You will find me doing what I like. This sounds rude but no one's paying me to breathe right?

My journey with Steemit;

Since I'm on break from Social Media, Steemit earns the credit to be the only social application I used this year. In the time I've spent here, I've had the opportunity to meet people and learn positive things. It's true that hard work is required on this platform, but I enjoy investing my time here. I've learned a lot from this platform, and I plan to continue learning in the future.

Key Aspirations for 2024;

I'm looking forward to work on my flaws because Change comes with acceptance, and now I'm completely ready to shape myself into a better human.

I want to engage myself in activities that I genuinely enjoy, which I have been ignoring for idk what reasons.

I have learned a lot about trading, and this year, I'm planning to practically delve into trading. I'll support myself and, you could say, nurture my small, innocent wishes.

Being honest I'm not madly excited for 2024 but I'm positive that things will be good and different. Cheers to everyone! for yet another thrilling ride of this Rollercoaster called Life.

This week I made a power down and keeping in view my previous inactivity, my club status is disturbed.
Reason for making power down was that I wanted to gift me a journal but not from my mother's money, It will be a gift from me to me.

I'll invite @nxzeehx @chiomzy810 @zainnyferdhoy to participate.

Hi @nafeela, I love what you learn in 2023, how other people view you is not your concern, your concern is solely on your happiness.
I encourage you to keep reading your novel.
Lastly good luck friend.

Thank you for your kind words.
