The word sweet is closely associated with the Bengali nation. It is essential for Bangladeshis to be sweet in any good deed. In fact, Bangladesh's confectionery stores are so rich and diverse that even if we go through each district, the list is not complete.
Different regions of the country are famous for different types of sweets. These include Chamcham from Tangail, Rasmalai from Comilla, Balish Sweet from Netrakona or Kachagolla from Natore, and many other traditional sweets.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy organized the 'National Sweet Mela' for the first time with these sweets. recently I visited this meal with my family.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy started organizing this fair last Wednesday to introduce the country's traditional sweets as a food culture. The five-day long fair will continue till March 10. More than 64 sweet artists from remote areas of the country participated in it.
