What was the act of kindness that impacted your life? Describe the situation.

As a human being, we all have had our own experiences that change our perspection about how we view things and people around us. These sort of experience impact our lives and make us learn new things about humanity.

The such act of kindness that impacted my life about human perspective happened to me during the COVID-19 when I lost my boss's money due to a scam. The amount of money that was lost was a sum #140,000 Naira which is equivalent to 1,000 Steem today, the amount was so much significant sum of money for me that even my 5 months salary can't cover it.

When this incident happened,I was scared and I didn't know how to relate the news to my boss. However, what happened next changed my perspective forever, Instead of her being angry or requesting me to pay back the money, my boss decided to help me out to get the money back. She and I made an attempt to report to police and went to complain to bank to retrieve the money, and she even paid me for my transportation to and fro to their main branch in Lagos island.

The inspiring things about the incident is that, despite that the attempt to retrieve the money failed, She still didn't even judge me or make me feel bad for the mistake that I had made. Instead, she showed me kindness in return, great understanding, and sympathize with me because she knows I feel so bad for the incident, this made all the difference in the world to me and change my perspective on how I think about people generally.

What were the emotions you were feeling at that time?

The emotions I felt at the time I told her the incident and the response I got was an endless joy for me, I had been very scared up until the moment she came to work, but seeing her response totally left me in shock and felt like I was in a dream.

The feeling was like one of those rare moments when you realize that there are still good people in this world. I had never experienced a kindness like that before, and it sort of touched me deeply. The incident made me realize that life is not always about the money. Sometimes, it's the little things that matters, like showing compassion and empathy to one another and it was a great feeling I could never forget.

How did that act impact you? (Financially, emotionally, etc.)

The act of kindness impacted me in several ways, first of all, it impacts me emotionally. Emotionally in a way that it gave me a new sense of hope in human being, it was then I realized that even in the midst of a difficult situation, there is always that one person who is willing to help and others in every way possible.

Financially, it also helped me in a way that I don't have to pay the money back which would have been a great task for me, as the money was so huge that my salaries can't even pay back on time, I was just so Happy to have come across such kindness at the time.

What are the lessons you learned from that incident? Did it change your perspective on kindness and the way you treat others?

Yes, I learned a lot of lesson I learned from the incident.

Firstly, I learned the importancy of showing kindness and sympathy to one another, especially when they are in a difficult situations, it was then I learned that everything is not always about the money, but it's about we treat each other, how we treat people below us, do we make them feel bad or not for making mistakes?

And Lastly, I also learned that there is always hope somewhere, I had already given up that day, but somewhere somehow , a hope came for me in the darkest hour of the day.

Did it change your perspective on kindness and the way you treat others?

Yes, for sure, that incident changed my thinking perspective and the way I treat others as well. Ever since then, I have Learn the importancy of showing kindness to others, I also learn that it is the little things that counts more, and I have begin to make effort to be more kind to others around me as well.

Did you manage to pass it forward by showing kindness to others? How?

As for passing the same kindness forward to others, I have always tried in my best possible way to show kindness to others as well in my own little way.

Whether it's by putting a smile on someone's face,or by saying a kind word to them, or any small act of generosity also, I believe that every little things counts to people around us, the world is contagious enough, we can only help by being kind to one another.

hello my friend @negro-bby
I really liked two of your lessons. As you said first of all we should always show kindness and compassion to each other. It is true that if we do not show kindness to one another, we ourselves will be deprived of receiving it from the other.

Then what I learned from the second lesson is that we can never get discouraged in our journey in life. You should always keep hope in your mind.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful publication with us and I wish you success.

Greetings appreciated @negro-bby.

First of all I must tell you that you were very lucky with what happened to you. It's not every day that we have such kind people around us.

This was like a revelation for you that allowed you to get to know your boss better and change your perspective on her.
Perhaps if this had not happened, your concept of her would be different.

Now you have a new best friend, which is priceless.

Thanks for sharing, God bless you.
