Not only man, but no other animal on earth, can produce his nourishment. The only living thing that can have nutrition is a plant. Water, minerals, and sunshine are used by plants in the chlorophyll-rich green sections of their bodies (mainly leaves) to produce food. Other animals eat plants directly or indirectly as food. Plants are, therefore, the primary source of all of our food.

Aside from food, oxygen is the most vital component of our existence. When plants utilize sunlight to create food, oxygen gas is released into the atmosphere. To maintain life, the creatures need respiration to take in this oxygen.

This is how plants maintain a clean and wholesome environment. In addition to providing oxygen, trees benefit animals in numerous other ways. Man can create furniture (such as a cot, table, chair, bench, cabinet, door, and window) from wood that he obtains from trees. Additionally, humans burn the tree's dried branches for fuel.

Trees provide people with flowers and fruits. They are used to make a variety of priceless, life-saving medications. Using various complex and incurable diseases as a means of treatment has been a tradition in our nation since ancient times.

The roots of plants stabilize the soil. In locations with heavy rains that cause soil erosion, planting trees can considerably lessen the problem. During the summer, back in the day, travelers would stop and relax under the trees to get some shade from the blazing sun. Despite the numerous advantages of trees, they are cut down carelessly daily. As a result, the biosphere is out of balance, and the globe is warming up. Our planet will eventually become a big desert if this keeps happening.

The time has come for us to all be conscious. Different programs, such as community and school-level afforestation, must be adopted to protect the flora. If possible, avoid felling trees. Only enormous trees should be taken down if it is necessary to do so. Ten saplings should be planted rather than cutting down a large tree.
