A few days ago, my friend Nayeem came to visit Dhaka. I went to different places of Dhaka with him and had a lot of fun. One day Nayeem said he needed to buy some necessities. So I took him to Dhaka New Market. Unfortunately that day was Tuesday. I had no idea that New Market was closed on Tuesdays. After going to the front of the market, I remembered that New Market is closed today. So we were forced to return home.

The next afternoon the two of us went to New Market again. Every day millions of people flock to Newmarket to buy their necessities. Most of these people are from lower middle class families. In this market you can buy relatively cheap items. It goes without saying that there is nothing that is not available in the New Market. All kinds of clothes are available here for men and women, children and the elderly. Not only clothing but also furniture, household items, cosmetics, toys, watches, glasses, jewelery, shoes, belts, show-pieces etc. There are also a variety of food stalls and daily necessities. I have tried to describe very briefly the things that are available in the New Market. Although I did not mention everything, I tried to highlight the main points.

I couldn't take any pictures while shopping inside the market. Because the market is very crowded. I was tired because it was so hot that day. However, before entering the market, I have taken some pictures which will help you to understand how many people are in the New Market. Below are some pictures of the over bridge in front of the New Market and the shoe shop along the street in front of the market. That evening we went to New Market. That's why the pictures are all night pictures.

I visited various shops in New Market that day. But Nayeem didn't like anything. In the end he was able to buy only a pair of shoes. I also took a picture of those shoes below. However, Naeem liked several shirts and pants. But he did not buy it to ask for extra price. There are some unscrupulous shopkeepers in Newmarket who are abusing new buyers and charging extra prices. As a result, many buyers are forced to return from New market empty-handed.

After shopping we left New Market and took a rickshaw to back home. On the way back, I took several selfies in a rickshaw. I attached a selfie below. There were a lot of traffic jams on the road so it took us a long time to get back.

On the way back, Nayeem became very hungry. So we got off the rickshaw and went to a restaurant first. The name of the restaurant is Lalbagh Biryani House. Very good quality biryani is available here. Nayeem and I went to the biryani shop and ate some biryani and came back home.
