My thoughts about human relationship with Animal

No matter how weird it may look, Animals will still remain a very important part of the world's ecological system and that interests me a lot.

Picture from @chriddi's post. She personally approved the use of this Image.

A few days ago, when I was reading through one of @chriddi’s posts which can be found here, I had an observation, not like it is my first time seeing something like that, but that picture, triggered a lot of thoughts on my brain and I also commented about it here.

And funny enough the whole of last week, whenever I entered Youtube, the adverts that always pop up are about pets, mostly dogs. Of course, you all know I like dogs.

In recent times, I have carefully observed the relationship between animals and humans it leaves me wondering, how is this intellectual phenomenon possible….

And then, I was moved to keep observing and diving into a special area of research within the week and I am about to share some of the unique characteristics possessed by these intelligent creatures that I observed.

  • Playful activities:
It might interest you to know that animals engage in voluntary and spontaneous displays of playful activities just like humans do.

This playful behaviour could be seen in either animal-to-animal or animal-to-human relationships. For example, if you see a dog chasing its owner in a playful manner, you will also notice animals using objects to play between themselves, how about puppies wrestling together, you'll definitely smile at these activities when you witness them.

These activities are typical of humans as well, have you noticed any of this…? Always very funny.

  • Efficient use of tools or devices: I bet you've not seen chimpanzees use sticks to extract insects from tree bark, or you have probably not noticed how dolphins use sponges to protect their noses while they are searching for food. These are just two out of millions of different ways animals use tools effectively, and of course, it is similar to the way we humans manipulate tools in performing manual tasks of any kind. I have watched this a couple of times in wildlife documentaries on Youtube.

  • The art of communication: Just like humans, animals possess their unique style of communication between their social groups. Do you know that bees communicate their location of food through dance?
Another interesting thing is most animals understand human language. They basically can communicate with humans via gestures and other vocals.
You will see a dog responding to signals given by its master, and it's always a beautiful sight to behold. I do talk to our dog and she responds to the command by action.

  • Nurturing and provisioning: Like humans, many animals care for and nurture their young ones. As much as humans, they try to provide sustenance for the growth and development of their young ones.

  • Emotional bonding: Just as humans do, animals form emotional bonds that foster attachment, care and protection. For example, we see fowls treating their young ones after hatching them, they exhibit the same emotional concerns as humans do.
These are just but a few, I'll appreciate in the comments sections, other ways you have noticed animals behave just like humans.
Another huge question is why these animals possess these intelligent behaviours…?

Why do I think animals act the way they do?

A few years ago, when I was in Secondary school, I was thought that Scientists and researchers have it that, humans and animals share an evolutionary heritage which gives them the ability to do what they do. Well, I personally don't believe in evolution so I'm still going to work more on that to prove that theory.

Animals also have varying levels of cognitive abilities which helps them demonstrate a lot of complex social behaviours. It makes their actions human-like in nature.

Animals learn from one another including humans. They observe and imitate the actions of humans and behave as such. With this ability, they can mimic human behaviours and start acting the same. That's why you see animals being trained by humans to act and behave in a way. You see dogs used in wars or even as bodyguards.

Most times they are influenced by their environment to act in this way. However, even when animal and human behaviours look alike, there are underlying differences in cognitive capacities. Human beings as we all know, remain the most intelligent creature.

BUT, have you noticed how some of these animals remain peaceful and cooperative with other animals irrespective of their kind for instance the picture of Chriddi and her two pets has a lot of messages on it.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think humans can learn anything from this?

This is a very nice post with some food for thought. You mention quite a few points, each of which is a branch of science in its own right, and also fill various interesting documentaries.
I have been interested in animal behaviour all my life. Certainly we can learn something from it (for some species, by the way, also "eat and be eaten", but that's not the point here). My motto is: "Treat every animal as if you could change roles with it at any time without hesitation". Respect, humility, friendship and a lot of positive energy - then it will work with each other! From human to animal, from animal to animal and preferably also from human to human.
I'm glad that my photo touched you and that you could relate to it - it's very fitting for your article. Well, there's no racism there... ;-)
I think you will soon discover more "exciting" pictures in my blog, because... today is Tuesday... :-)))
And now I have to quickly go outside again to do some more social studies... ;-)
Animals are great, sheep are greater... ;-)

These are interesting points and I am glad you could fetch out some important lessons and messages I am trying to share here.

We, humans, can actually learn a lot of things from animals if we pay a little attention. For some years now, I have learned a lot though and each time, I learn one thing from an animal, It always made me think about the creator of those animal.

That's the point! You see, those animals are not just the same, they are different kinds, but see how cooperative and peaceful they are..., nothing like racism or prejudice.., I can count them on and on and on. It is a picture with a lot of messages to humanity.

Thanks for such an informative post. I have also been watching animals since my youth, I read a lot about bees when I worked with a company that sells bee products. I myself am not a seller, I am a poet)) But I spent holidays in defense of bees. Since childhood, I have been friends with cats and dogs, I have lived with hedgehogs, fish, parrots ... I agree that animals are like owners, those who love them are friendly and happy. Thank you for your research, for igteres and love for nature)

There is a proverb in our country, animals do not show mercy to those who call people animals.

There is another saying,
The man who served the animals served God.
