A look at the internet would show you many different ways of writing a quality post, but many of these ideas, principles and advices given are too ideal and most times does not work. So how do we write a quality post?

  • Find Out What's Best For You: The first step in writing any post that's unique is finding out whats best for you, get the right motivation, state of mind and be intentional about what you want to write.
    Paraphrasing, hijacking someone else's work, using Ai's and chatbots doesn't bring out the beauty the written intends to express, thereby rendering that post subpar.

  • Write Creatively on the Main Points: Many writer suffer from what I'll call over-creativity or outpour of ideas, a situation when one feels too inspired and writes down everything that comes to mind.
    These most times leads to writing off the point, creates lack of cohesiveness and confuses the readers, this could be addressed by being selective and proofreading.

  • Work on achieving perfect Mechanical accuracy(spellings, paragraphing, grammar, punctuations): writers of today tend to ignore this part as they feel they are unnecessary. Most writer too don't even understand how this works especially punctuation marks and paragraph. This spoils a beautiful idea and can lead to confusion.

Take for example a writter intend to talk about an egg laid by a brown hen, he writes;

A brown fat big hen egg

This phrase only induces confusion
Such errors can be avoided by sticking to simple styles of writing, proofreading and learning how to use tenses and punctuation marks.

How important is relevance and creativity in a post?

Doing something different and outstanding is creativity and it makes one stand out. However, doing too much leads creativity astray making it out of context, therefore relevance is needed.

Drawing a fine line between creativity and relevance makes a post stand out perfectly.

What makes a post high quality?

A high quality post is;

  • Straight forward: gives the main point to the readers.

  • Pleasing to the eyes and appeals to the readers mind

  • Not jam-packed

  • Is easily understood

  • Engages the readers

This refers to what appeals the readers sense of sight. (i.e, makes the readers want to read more).

  • Nice lettering/fonts, Font size: Thankfully steemit has this sorted out as it gives a standard font and font size.

  • Appropriate paragraphing/markdowns: No matter how creative and beautiful a post is, being too jam-packed tires the eyes and scares away readers. A well arranged text and properly placed highlights (bold and italics text) makes a post unique.

  • Complementary images: Images and pictures serves to makes a write up pop. the image used in a quality post always relates to what is being discussed. This makes it easier to understand the main point. The quality, quantity and orientation used also matters a lot.

Hi @uduak3287.

Thank you for your invitation. I will see what I can come up with to live up to your text.
Greetings from the other side of the planet.

To be honest I don't think these tips will help people write better, a template can be useful but what I miss is creativity. Creativity, doing it different from the rest makes whatever you write attractive. I don't see that happen here.
