I believe your comment is about regret.. the chance we might have if we do not answer the phone if someone calls. I rarely pick up the phone only if my children call and with children I mean my son since he's the only one who goes shopping while I am on the speaker keeping him company.

Those who know me will not call but text.. it's what we all do and we read if we are ready for it. That might sound strange but we need our peace of mind and besides of that we have different lifestyles and zones we live in.

For about 3 weeks my days have been filled with texts and phone calls and I can't say I am happy with it. It is time-consuming and I have to work and be with my family as well.

If it comes to friends of the family I haven't heard about for a long time..only 2 friends come to mind and they wouldn't call but if I would pick up the phone if I knew they called.. I switched sound and notifications off and my phone is switched off if I sleep.

Would I regret it if I don't pick up? No. I am a realistic person and those important to me know how to find me. The rest? If after years family certain remembers me I am not interested. My life went on without them and I was never a part of their lives.
