It's nice this time of year here in Prescott Arizona as the still mild weather and moisture from the melted winter snow brings forth the wildflowers.
This little spiny beauty was nestled among the rocks along the Salida Gulch Trail overlooking near Lynx Creek.
It probably benefited from the seasonal water runoff in the nearby (now dry) little wash.
The blossoms are often a mecca for pollinating insects and a couple of tiny bees visited while I was there.
Soon the hot sun will wilt these pretty blossoms until next year's growth.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit of Mother Nature's wonder.
