Pieces of 4.30 lakh years old asteroid have been found in Antarctica. It is believed that this asteroid collided with the continent of Antarctica so many years ago. Its diameter was 100 meters. The pieces that broke out of the collision had spread all over Antarctica. The largest piece found weighs about 7.6 kg.
Scientists have found fragments of 4.30 lakh years old asteroid on the Volanjlet Mountain in Queen Maud Land of Antarctica. That is, the asteroid collided with Antarctica only so many years ago. According to the estimates of scientists, the asteroid was about 100 meters in diameter. Whose collision caused a terrible explosion and its pieces spread over the entire icy continent.
Scientists say that by studying such fragments, we can find out when and how the solar system was formed. Also, what was the condition of the earth at that time. Matthew Zeng, a scientist on the team studying the fragments of this asteroid, told that if there is an explosion in a small asteroid or meteorite or comet in or below the Earth's atmosphere, it would be no less than the explosion of an atomic bomb.
