Spending time with Jesus transforms your life
Throughout the 7 days that make up this reading plan, we are going to focus on a theme that is key to our life: our spiritual growth.
Let me start by talking about this subject with an allegory. Surely at some point in your life you have prepared a cake, right? You start by making the dough and, once it is ready, it is put in the oven. But you don't put the loose dough in the oven: you put it in a mold.
The dough does not have a specific shape, it does not come out in the shape of a cake when we finish making it. It is liquid and malleable, it takes the shape of the mold in which we put it. If the mold is round, the cake will be round. If the mold is square, the cake will be square. That is, the paste adapts to the mold.
The same thing happens in your life. When you spend time in the Presence of God, you allow His Spirit to imprint the character of Jesus on you and to do His work in you (see John 14:26). The Presence of God becomes that mold that shapes you and transforms your life.
That's right, dear friend - you're like that cake batter. Hence the importance of both the "mold" and the environment in which you spend time is appropriate: the Presence of your heavenly Father. God is not going to destroy everything you are, on the contrary: He is going to shape you, while respecting your personality.
Just as the cake grows to that golden color when in the mold, the Presence of God acts as a growth accelerator in your life. You will go from victory to victory and from glory to glory: "Therefore, we all, looking to the open face as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are transformed from glory to glory in the same image, as by the Spirit of the Lord" ( 2 Corinthians 3:16).
John 14:26
26 But the intercessor, the Holy Spirit, that the Father will send in my name, He will teach you everything, and will remind you of everything that I have told you.
2 Corinthians 3:18
18 And all of us, if we contemplate the glory of the Lord like in a mirror, we are transformed from glory to glory, in the same image as the Lord who is Spirit.
