Hello, dearest Steemians! I hope you are all doing great!
Last year has been a tough one in all of us even now. Many losses in life. Grief and pain overwhelmed the majority of us. We're all affected, suffered from this contagious disease. Indeed, this crisis changed the life of millions of people.
In the Philippines, it causes huge damages to the life of all Filipinos and the country's economy. Affected cases are still inclining. Some places are still in a community quarantine and lockdown. I can't imagine how this situation encompasses the lives of the young ones.
As an educator of a public institution I am more concerned about the learner’s education. Unlike the last school year, we retain face-to-face interaction, and now platforms like messenger and google meet are our medium of communication which prevails dullness for both educators and learners.
I do believe there is no better way of educating learners than actual engagement. Letting them be involved in physical and natural circumstances where they can show their true potential.

I was overwhelmed by their small surprise celebration of the last school year World Teachers’ Month. It was priceless.
*They are my students and they are my kids
Undoubtedly, COVID-19 pandemic has created the largest disruption of education systems here in the Philippines. Closures of schools and institutions are impacted. Though the Department of Education promotes alternatives to cater to the needs of the learners by providing activities through modules, having an educational channel, and provide a virtual seminar for teachers to be effective in this new normal for the learners. Nonetheless, using different platforms. For me, I still don't find it effective, there are a lot of things to be considered. I just hope things will be fine soon in this situation of the students.
According to Laini Taylor “Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there’s no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, you can make things happen, almost like magic.”
Though it has been a months, a year of mourning for our young learners. Hence I know beauty still remains despite of what we have been through and what they have been through. I am sure, hopes in are still there, inclining and elevating.
I am very positive that next school year here in the Philippines will be back to normal we’re every learners are safe and secure that no more virus block their learnings.
Let our hope be our source of reassurance. Cheers for a better school year next opening educators of the Philippines. 🥂
