Sitting home and playing various games with family members is also fun.
There are different types of board games available in the market to play indoor. But there are some games which are popular from the ancient time but not available in the market.
Such ancient games are eco-friendly as can manage to play with resources available at home.

Ashta Changa

In India, the game shown above is very popular. It is known with different names in the different part of India. It is also known as Pachisa if five split seeds used to play. If all five falls black side token directly goes home from the starting point.
At our place, we called it Ashta Changa. Ashta means 8 and Changa means 4.
To play this game we only required chalk and some tamarind seeds. The figure shown can be drawn on any rough surface(If no suitable surface is available then can be drawn on a plain paper) and tamarind seeds used to make dice and tokens as Illustrated in the photo below.👇

Rules are almost the same as the popular board game Ludo. 4 players can play this game. Players race their four tokens from start to finish according to the throw of dice Like other cross and circle games, Ludo is also derived from this Indian game.

Interesting. I know how to split seeds into two to use them as dice but how do you crack them into half for the purpose of tokens?

It is easier to break than splitting it. Just break with hammer or stone.
