PROUD TO BE A PAKISTANI. BUT WHY???

Why i am proud of my country "Pakistan".

There are many reasons for loving my country. Few of them are as follows.

• Full name of my country is The Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It got independence from British India on 14th August 1947 after a long and consistent struggle.

• Flag of pakistan consist of two colours white and green with white cresent and star in it . Green colour represents Muslims and white color represents non-muslims. Star represent brightness of nation where crescent represents aim of national development like development of crescent daily.

• Population of pakistan is 217 million which is 6th largest in the world and second largest in Muslim countries after indonesia. Area of pakistan is 796096 sqkm which is 32nd largest in the world.

• Two Pakistanis have won the Nobel Prize: the late Abdus Salam, who won Nobel prize for his work in Physics, and Malala Yousafzai, a woman's education activist who won it in 2014..

• In 1993, pakistan was world champion of 4 games at a time i.e cricket, hockey, squash and snooker.

• Pakistan has won 2 cricket world cups (1 odi and 1 t20 format of cricket) and 4 hockey world cups. Pakistan held world record of four hockey world cups for a long time. Then germany shared it with pakistan.

• Pakistan became world's 7th atomic power in the world and 1st one in Muslim countries on 28 feb 1998. At the moment, pakistan is at number 5 in the world in number of atomic bombs.

• Pakistan has world second largest salt mine, known as khewra salt mine, located at khewra. It consist of 40km long tunnel from which pakistan mines 32000 tons of salt every year.

• Pakistan is one of the largest producer of milk, poultry, sugar, wheat, tobacco and cotton.

• Pakistan possess world highest polo ground in the world. It is located at shandoor top.

*About 50% of all soccer balls in the world are made in one Pakistani city Sialkot which is located un punjab province.

• Pakistan has world largest volunteer ambulance service network, known as "edhi ambulances" which works for 24*7 in all parts of pakistan. It was started by late abdul sattar edhi in 1997.

• The world's second highest peak is in Pakistan known as K-2 or Godwin Austin. Its height is 8,611 meters, or 28,251 feet. It is located in karakoram ranges.

• Pakistan possess world's largest warm water deep sea port at Gwadar, which is operated in all 365 days of a year.

• Pakistan possess world's earliest and largest civilization, known as indus valley civilization. It is located around river indus in punjab province.

• The late two times ex prime minister of pakistan Benazir Bhutto was the first woman prime minister in the Muslim world.

• Hinduism's calendar has 12 months on the basis of weather. Pakistan enjoys all 12 kinds of weather.
