summit, Story and a lesson

Robert Greene says in his book "The 33 Strategies of War":
At an early stage, "Julius Caesar" identified "Pompeii" as his enemy, so he began to measure his actions, make accurate calculations, and do only the things that put him in a solid position against "Pompeii"!
And when war finally broke out between the two men, Caesar was at his best, but as soon as he defeated Pompeii and no longer had rivals of his weight, he lost his passion for everything!
His victory over Bombay was his personal disaster. Your enemies force you to have a sense of humility and realism!

I imagine that the human journey on this earth, individuals, countries and empires, is like a graph that keeps going up until it reaches the top. Then, when it reaches it, it takes its natural path towards collapse, albeit slowly, little by little, until it collapses completely!

Throughout history, the armies that swept the world and set up vast empires began their journey to end at the moment when they had no enemies left, the conquering ruler turned to luxury, and the leaders turned from conquerors to seekers of influence!
Little by little the empire is flabby and crumbling!
This is what happened to the Roman Empire, the Persian Empire, the Arab State in Andalusia, the Ottoman Caliphate, and the Soviet Union, and this is what will befall America. The inevitable fall of countries is the only constant in history!

Even in the lives of individuals, I see that their reaching the top is their first killing. Most of the writers who received Nobel prizes were more beautiful before the award than after it!
Nothing explains this other than that man slackens at the top!
Or perhaps it is the law of God in the universe!
