Have you ever been helpless with that feeling of checking your Crypto wallets uncontrollably many times in a short time? This is called wallet addiction, it’s not as bad as it sounds but it could take a toll on your mental health in a long run.

On the average, how many times do you open your various crypto wallets in weeks, in a day, in an hour? Regardless of how much it is Worth, there's an impulse to always check check and check to see if something magical has happened. Price changes is one of those magics, getting new tokens from airdrops is another one, then the fear of been hacked and funds stolen is the worst horrible thing we all fear.

Approximately over 70% or more people in the Crypto space check their wallets often due to one of these aforementioned reasons, there are other factors that makes users check their wallets too often now in these era of Yield Farming in the DeFi space.

Take for example TrustWallet, I'll be honest as to why I check in often, it's a multi wallet and you can create more than one wallets in one app. In my case, I have a separate wallets for all things Ethereum and all things Binance Smart Chain. Same goes for everyone, if you don't have a separate wallet for these two chains, I recommend you do that ASAP.

One of my most genuine reason is cross chain transactions, I always want to move ERC20 tokens or let me use Swap, then move them to BEP20 due to the gas fees brouhaha. This is prompts me to check in to see price movement of the certain tokens I want to swap and move to BSC. Plus the underlining addiction which many people(crypto users) can't deny, the urge to check in on your tokens like new born babies.

If you use a cold wallets, you might not be a victim to these funny but incessant act. There is no crime in it, just that it tells on an individual mental balance. Watching your wallet value go up and down in price movement could have a huge psychological impact on anyone regardless of being a Whale or a Zooplankton.

All in all, everyone in the Cryptospace is a victim to wallet addiction at one time or the other, you shouldn't feel bad about it. It gets better as you have more experience using different cryptocurrencies and projects on the chain!
