Omocestus Viridulus

On this occasion, again I want to share with friends about insect photography. The types of insects that I share are grasshoppers. I photographed this grasshopper in the low bushes around my neighborhood.

After taking pictures, I tried to search with google lens about the name of the insect. Finally I found a little information on Wikipedia about the green grasshopper which has the scientific name Omocestus Viridulus whose picture is like what you see in this post.

Omocestus Viridulus is a very popular evergreen grasshopper and is very easy to find in bushes. His favorite shrubs are those with light green leaves. Light green leaves are a very tasty main food for him.

And the most terrible and disturbing thing, especially for farmers, if this type of grasshopper lands or spends the night in his fields that have young plants, then in an instant these grasshoppers eat the leaves of these young plants, especially in large quantities. . The sorrow of the peasants was indescribable.

But the grasshopper I photographed alighted in the bushes on a dry forest flower and died from the locust I predicted.

Then what is the green grasshopper that has the scientific Omocestus Viridulus like? Here I have prepared some of them visually maybe at least can be eye decoration.
