Walking along a track on Mt. Hotham in Victorias alpine region in winter can be invigorating and full of chilly surprises.
From a puddle of water with a cracked sheet of ice covering, to little pile of ice crystals makes venturing out into the cold a rewarding effort. The crystal structure of the ice was the first time I had seen such a formation.
