MEP Christine Anderson was talking about a new WHO treaty that implied that all powers would be granted to this Institution to decide on the mandates and measures that would be established in future pandemics, not only for Europe but for all its member states.

She asked the commission a question that was “To what extent are you going to guarantee that the government of the people is respected and that citizens are not subjected to the arbitrariness of an entity that is not democratically elected?” part of her response on twitter.

MEP Christine Anderson warns that the WHO Pandemic Treaty “aims to give the WHO de facto governing power over its member states in the event of a pandemic, without involvement or consultation with national governments or national parliaments.”
