Have You Ever Seen The Pleiades? This Week See With Naked Eyes The ‘Seven Sisters’ Glow Next To The Crescent Moon - Forbes

( March 7, 2022; Forbes )

Description: "The closest open cluster of stars to our Solar System will this week briefly appear to be close to the crescent Moon. "

When to look for the Pleiades

After dark on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. If you look on Monday or Wednesday nights the Pleiades will be in the same position, but the Moon—your guide—will be in a different position so won’t appear to be particularly close to the Pleiades.

----

For naked-eye viewing, the Pleiades, or "Seven Sisters is one of the most captivating sites in the night sky. Tonight after dark, the cluster of stars will be easy to find because of its close proximity to the moon. Both the Moon and the Pleiades will disappear from view around midnight, so the window of opportunity only lasts for a handful of hours.

I'm not sure if this is true for Europe or just North America. Does anyone know?

Yes, here in Germany the star cluster is also good to see near the moon. We had a clear starry sky. Unfortunately, the moon was still very bright, so you had to cover the crescent a bit to see the faint stars next to it. :-)
Thanks for the tip!

Unfortunately I could not take a photo, because I have no tripod.

Edit: I could still take a picture :-) So that you can recognize something, I have enlarged the section a little.

Thanks for the photo! Unfortunately, our skies were cloud filled, so that's the best view I got.

I heard about it , however I have not been able to observe it , my work in some ocations absorbs me completely , perhaps it is a consequence of working from home , hours go by and I do not realize it , it is the unpleasant part of the matter

This group of stars is the most famous in the sky, since it can be seen without binoculars, they are 400 light years away.

This is how the Pleiades look from our planet, without binoculars. But it will depend on where on the planet you are.

I saw the Pleiades for the first time. Fascinating and quite impressive.

Some of them make collision and fusion, it's exciting 👍

Interesting to know, ah, it transmits us a singular energy.
