It was a cool and breezy Tuesday morning in Wimbledon, London and Colin the Camel woke up at 5am as he does most mornings. He opened the back door to listen to the birds as he sat to eat his breakfast - jam on toast. He loved is jam on toast, although burned the bread more often than he cared to remember.
This morning was different to the others, the little Red Robin didn't come bobbing along like it usually did so Colin went outside to summon the bird. Nothing. The Robin was nowehere to be seen and Colin was saddened by this. He knew it would be a sad day without Robin the Robin coming to see him.
He got ready for work, putting on his favourite scarf - Colin needed a longer scarf than most animals for obvious reasons and this one he wore today was his favourtie - it was leopard print. His neighbour had given it to him for the previous Christmas after his children had left home so it symbolised a great deal to him.
That was the last item as he left the house for school. Colin was a taxi driver in the square mile, carrying passangers around but never South of the river. He had heard bad stories from that part of town so though it best to steer clear. If anybody asked him to take them there, he would drop the off just north of
