It was Emily's 16th birthday and her parents had planned a surprise for the occasion. She is a specially abled child who doesn't have many friends as she is socially not the most active child in her circle. However, Samm and Larissa, her classmates from the highschool dropped by to wish her on the occasion.

Little did Emily know that it was her special day. Her parents were also happy that their little girl turns a year older and has been greeted by her friends. The evening was pretty enjoyable and the girls enjoyed their time with Emily. So did her parents.

(Ends)

P.S. It feels good to be back on the Steemit platform after a long break of almost 3 years.

Nice one. Fits the photo very well. Welcome back. A lot has developed in 3 years. Very enlivening groups of people with similar interests. I think Steemit is the most well-kept secret in social media.

Thank you so much. Hare Krishna. 😊

Welcome back! All the best! ☺️

Thank you. Means a lot.

It reminded me a bit of one of my birthdays where classmates were invited to be present. They were before I arrived home. The cake was one I didn't like and the same counted for those girls.. bullies invited. What a miserable surprise that was.
It's a good thing the parents of this girl did a better job and the girls had fun. I hope they will not ignore her on the day school starts.

Welcome back and enjoy writing with us.

Glad that it took you back down the memory lanes.

Thanks. Hope to continue writing in the community.

You are glad your freewrite reminded me of one of the worst birthdays in my life?

It isn't easy to write what is written isn't it!
Do you like to be read or is it fine if no one does?
🍀♥️

So sorry if my reply offended you. It was never my intention to do so.

Obviously a platform like Steemit needs readers devoting their valuable time and leaving their views.

Hope you don't mind. May be I overread or misinterpreted your reply.

Eveey platform needs readers. Imagine what hapoens if no one reads and comments, engages? This platform would be dead.

The question is how many are willing to do so and will they will be rewarded for the time they invest?

No need for sleepless nights because of what you said or my reply.

🤔🍀♥️

Very true. There should be some kind of rewards for post engagement as well. Shouldn't let the valuable time and contributions of devoted users go unnoticed.
