For the sake of this piece, I will refer to the other north as "north pole".

The other north" could refer to magnetic north, which is the direction a compass needle points to. It can also refer to true north, which is the direction to the North Pole. Link

Well, I believe the north pole is a myth because there has not been any real of accurate description of its existence. They say because it is too cold, people cannot navigate going up that far north. The movies actually make us believe in it's existence and kindle the hope of children. But maybe that's the whole point, it's just part of the Christmas story that help keep the children happy during the season.

I would not say I would want to go that far north, that would be like a suicide mission right?

The geomagnetic field is a field. It is not a solid physical object. Apparently, the location of the magnetic field moves around.

The terms North and South Poles also refer to the the place where the longitude lines converge. So, the North and South pole are well defined points.
