Who are you amidst the crowd
When you blend right in
The lights flicker from above
But you are not the chosen one
You wish for a better tomorrow
Struggling to get through today
Only hope tells you of a future
But you can barely hear it now
If only you could show them a smile
Like the ones you see in television
Then maybe, and only maybe
You'd feel you belong somewhere
Suddenly you can't hear it anymore
A life, you take, followed by your own
All you wished for was a bit of sanity
Desire frozen for all eternity
