A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words // Hope In Gray

Beneath a sky of sullen gray,
In puddles deep where raindrops play,
Two boots, forgotten, brightly stand,
A shelter from a soggy land.

An umbrella, left askew,
Its colors vibrant, red and blue,
Guardians of the rain’s embrace,
In solitude, they hold their place.

Each droplet tells a story brief,
Of fleeting joy and hidden grief,
Yet in this scene of muted tones,
A quiet beauty softly hones.

The rain, it dances, whispers low,
A lullaby for those who know,
That even in the grayest day,
A hint of color finds its way.

I used the colors "red and blue" instead, for rhyme.
