Writing help

  • A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Just remember that is is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link

  • Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.

  • A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

  • I found this app through @emwalker. Use it regularly and it will help you type faster and more accurately. [10 fast fingers](https://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/english

I have a favor to ask. If you are on YouTube, can you please subscribe to my Sustainable Living Podcast channel. I am not asking you to watch, just to subscribe. I want to be able to do live Yoga classes and need more subscribers before I can access that function. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA73SuaMBnBIaB5OdiL_y6Q

Hi @mariannewest, this is my entry post for today's Freewite challenge, enjoy:

There is a superstitious belief about bird's nest from where I come from. It is believed if you put your hands inside a bird's nest, you will never be satisfied with any amount of food you eat, always feeling hungry. The belief is popular among children of all ages even till this present time and she. I dared my friends to confirm if it was true. I was young then, full of energy and daring- Experimental and being scientific.

We were a group of six children, walking to the closest mango tree. Mango trees is a treasure hunt for nests. There are countless numbers of bird nests on mango trees, both old and new. Finally, we found a mango tree and as expected, nest that had fallen to the ground. I picked a decent-looking nest up.

Putting my hands in the hole of the nest, I could hear my friends screaming. They were concerned about me- that I would eat never to be satisfied anymore. Turned out it was all lies. There was no way such act could hijack control over my Ghrelin hormone. I wonder who made those beliefs up and why they did.

The bird's nest is a beautiful work of art. Such intelligence and artistory lying in the brain of every bird. It holds beautifully in the rain and sunny times, keeping their chicks warm. The nest is a home of love. It is a home of care and nurture. It is a place of refuge.

Nests are built in high places away from straying and ravenging animals. Woven from the finest materials around, to create comfort and withstand the harsh weather.

The eagles' nests are the most magnificent of all. The size is enormous with a wideness of 5 feet and depth of 4 feet. Beautifully crafted out of sticks and lines with softer materials.

The nests of all birds are just a wonderful sight to behold.

Thanks a lot 💕.
And I've subscribed to your youtube channel, it's really nice- I wish you success attracting more viewers and subscribers.
