The older we get the more we forget?
If you ask me it's the other way round. What we see in the elderly is that they remember the past and their childhood very well. I can't say that about most children. It feels as if they are least interested in real life and no matter if you take them out it doesn't seem to impress them. The cinema for example (we call it: bioscoop). I remember my eldest being 4-years-old and I was happy to take her out and have this experience and from that time on she (we all) are film lovers (okay, fanatics). I remember one of the birthday parties held I took children to the cinema and I was surprised back then as there were several who had no idea what it was or what to expect. I was flabbergasted and today I am about way more things for example children growing up using English words but not able to speak English, children not aware of the fact that chicken on their plate is an animal. And what to think about people who seriously believe coaca (milk) is produced by brown cows (in the USA it turns out even adults believe that).

So while one of the #learnwithsteem teaching schools educates about the benefits of technique making life so much easier it turns out we create a stupid population. One without other knowledge than repeating what some say, copy-pasting AI phrases and without skills. The lack of skills is the biggest worry of civilization. What will happen if we all enjoy the big bang, a blackout is the result and we live in a world without electricity. Will you build the old-fashioned windmill to generate energy? One you can also live in or will you sit and wait for someone to save you? Most likely it will be the mess we see in films like "Blindness" and all those other "happy" Hollywood films we "invited' to watch (Hunger Games, Silo you name it).

Let's hope the elderly are still left and remember the skills and can be educated on how to survive. Indeed those elderly who are called bored and no one likes to listen to them because they are labelled as the source of all misery the present youth live in. (these young ones are right their parents spoiled them way too much and should have taught them how to work, kick their arses and take away the phones, internet access and so on because if you like it or not, the high tech will not be the future and for sure not for all of us).

What does this all have to do with a plush teddy bear? Nothing except that I remembered I had one. It was white with a blue belly and kind of flat as I saw it for the first time (age 7?). I kept if for a while but never found one again and today I wonder if it was mine at all back then. Perhaps it was and I did vomit on it as a 2-year-old and it was taken away (washed and stored in a box) or perhaps it was a present as I was dying in hospital (cause: starvation). Perhaps I remember it in a few years if I am old enough. Not that I'm looking forward to remembering more than I already do. It sounds like a burden to me to remember a terrible childhood and relive it over and over again as those with Alzheimer's do.

In Indonesia we still call it bioskop.

I see myself somewhere in these sentences. And that's why I didn't continue reading, I was so afraid I can see much more of me in the following sentences, so I skipped to the bottom ...

If what you meant was Freewriter Community, then yes.

Let me call my bro, maybe he can find himself too in this writing. Hey yo, bro @saintkelvin17. wake up already?

Are you kidding me? 😂 I woke up 12 hours ago and I went to the church too, came back and started feeling unsatisfied with myself because sometimes I will want to buy something but I can't afford it, that's by the way.

This is just the beginning, you will be seeing yourself in some steemian's posts soon 😂.

hush, hush, hush, did you have to tell him?

We are bros, we don't keep secrets. We keep Steem Powers.

Is not a big deal 😂. Is something I can write as a diary game post and others will see it. I even took pictures for today's diary game post.

Oh, Lord. All these times I thought it was only me.

We all have that geeling even Elon Musk

No, he doesn't, he talks too much with me. Are you sure I talked about you?
I don't think so or?

I know you did not talk about me. I just found me in it. Oh Lord!

Let's see what more we have in common. Teddy?

Interesting 🌝, I hardly forget things and I admire the way you remember so much of the past even at this age wow that's cool but am not 100% surprised because alot of people still have that long term memory in them.

I also remember alot of things that happened around me in the past, I have always been smart and I was stubborn for sometime until I turned into a very gentle boy even up till now. Am not really gentle online but believe me and 90% gentle offline.

I used to love to old days when my siblings and I were always playing together happily not knowing that life is hard, we never knew we will go through alot of pains just to survive from the bad economy in our country Nigeria.

Honestly the past is even looking better than the present, may God forgive human beings.

At least you have a good past to remember I can't say I have. My present is so much better. What we have in common is we both don't look forward to the future. Is there a need to? What if there's only a present? Too frequently we are filled with worries how to survive that we forget to live in the moment. The moment can already be hard enough.

Should god forgive? Will that help? I doubt it.

Yes I have a good past to remember but I also have bad past which was my years in senior high school. Suicide was even all over my head but I didn't got the mind to kill myself, I will motivate myself today, curse myself tomorrow.

Life is unpredictable most times, all that is important is that we live a good life and the right things at the right time.

What also helps is to tell yourself if you are down you survived before, more than once and you are skilled if it comes to serving. A deep breath and if needed back to bed and face the world again in 2-3 days.
It seems if it comes to it we all struggle through life.

Yes you are right.🫡
