I'm not sure if I told him in "SCB Monkey Business" the last part of my answer which is: Instead of waiting for an upvote, we can also fulfil the task of upvoter (= curator)!

and yes, it is (let's not get into detail why it might not be the case for example the fact that a part of your SP is delegated to run the place or...).
If it comes to it all you have to do is hit that button how hard can that be? It turns out to be hard I tell you, all you have to do to see the proof is check (use steemworld.org for example) and if you do ask yourself why you never think of hitting the 'upvote' button but do expect others to do so if it comes to you. Auch, that hurts.

Upvoting

I lately have trouble clicking on the right button. Instead of the upvote I hit the downvote and if I want to correct the downvote into an up I am in trouble. I need to hit downvote first or upvote again but it doesn't always seem to work out well. Is it the new face on mobile phone or did my finger swell?

If I go on my daily upvote tour, one that takes me hours because I do not only handle one account but also upvote for communities since I am a moderator for a 'very supportive' community where I upvote whatever is written (or not if it's really bad, scam, AI or plagiarism, or I am out of SP). Lately I try to save myself time and I ignore the do-not-go-<- 80-SP- unwritten-rule because it's the only way to give everyone who deserves it an upvote. By the way, a low SP might reduce the vote you give but if you vote a 6-day-old post the vote is higher so if it comes to it it doesn't matter.

Do I earn big with all those upvotes I spread?

The answer is no, I am a bad curator. Why not, how come, you might wonder... it's because I give many of my votes to those you might call "losers" but I think they have a lot of potential and should be noticed by someone even if it's busy me with a small upvote and three words left to share.

If we all have to start upvoting ourselves

without SCs, what will happen? Will you all leave? I noticed, just like 7 years ago when we fought for this platform, it's not easy to change a mindset. I doubt everyone will leave since the platform is bigger than the small place we stay, longing to be noticed by like-minded, never setting a foot out of the community because everyone is the enemy or the own community is filthy rich, so why leave right?

My journey on Steemit wasn't all about "opium" and "musk" or "vanilla" (hint to my guy so he won't think I like the smell of roses while he's chopping his way inside the castle) and like many others, there were plenty of times I felt miserable and with miserable I mean really sick. Steemit can be a very lonely place if you know no one and there's no warm embrace. To me freewriters is a place where I can write without being read which is super and if that doesn't work out I go back to my hive, meant for me and a few invited who never post which keeps it easy and simple. No need to keep an eye on CSI either since there's no mod and I can do as I like.

But hey, free writers, this one if for you!

You might be a newbie (to the community) or an old Steemian but know all your entries are appreciated and that's why I decided to give the community a hand and support with some Steem and post a contest as well (knack4buzz no longer wanted it because of the SEC contests so Out-Of-The-Box will stay here since you were the ones who joined anyway).
If I am out of Steem I hope you will still join and keep writing (and supporting me of course because this post took me the entire day and I am far behind with writing)... if Steem is no longer available I will reward you with a postcard and we go for the glory and fame.
