If it comes to "some" for sure we can find them everywhere. No need to leave the house for that. Alltogehter all those some do a lot and are not that different from us, still it's hard to be befriended because the person we are isn't able to accept what is different.

If it comes to men dying on the battlefield.. with us women, children do too.. since ages women go dressed like men and die on battlefields in the name of freedom, justice or the cry for hunger.
