Pakistanis seem to study IT, India as well. My son. Is in an International class guess who the other students are (and rarely show up) at university: Pakistani, India and Nigeria. My first response was: cool you join the hackers of the future. Keep me updated. So this month is for exams. My son did his in 20 minutes where 70 were given and left. This month he mainly works because he finished everything but here it comes...
Physics... they are now being given the chance to take the same exam for the fifth time because the level is so extremely low, or the IQ, that there is no possibility of passing for the idiots. It is miraculous how these "chance pearls" have been imported and given scholarships. My son does not have one he has to work and study so not one single free day or holiday. So far university is not too bad or hard just annoying and a bit dumber every day.
It's easy to get some degree. I read on Steemit about 3 tries for an exam which is found normal. With us not passing the first time is shameful and if you pass after 3 times it's not something to brag about.
Anyway, the world changes, AI is at aid and everyone can be and engineer, doctor and artist. I read more than one saying this, same for the I like drawing, but spotted not one single drawing. 🤔 I asked and @ josluf does the same but votes are taken for granted, the habit will not change and promoting oneself is a big NO (SCs can find me isn't that the whole idea?).

Ps children do change a lot in one's life, I never felt that ultimate hapiness preached by media only losing myself. It's a fight not losing yourself and keeping the clothes free from snot, , blood, poop, vomit and tears.

Perhaps sometimes, we take our functioning brains and education for granted. We choose to spend our time with people that we can relate to in some way. So when we log in to Steemit, it can often be challenging. Some of us grew up with a sense of pride in what we do, knowing that with a little bit of luck, the hard work will be worth it. I can't remember learning this and I certainly knew it before I was an adult - whether consciously or not. So when people ask for help, hoping for an easy route, I'm not sure it's something that an adult can learn. As many here have already proven.
I've thought a lot about Steemit lately. There are a minority who are here for the communtiy - who feel that votes, rewards, etc. should and can be earnt. But I see so many accounts hunting the auto-votes - which are mostly generated by the people who have been voted as Witnesses. I want to "belong" here... In my nearly 4 years here, I feel like I've grinded to make everything that I touch a little bit more like how I want it to be... but with each day and each Newcomer that I see register, it feels like what I want it to be slips a little bit further away!

What happens if you start a new "newcomer's" community for a certain group of people and dump this one? We can pretend we all are the same but we are not. Different interests, different way of thinking, we are not raised in the same way and I noticed that IQ and education does play a role.
Most of the newcomers are introduced by family or a group and no matter how long they are on Steemit they always mention the same 3 names. They don't like to integrate and be part of something bigger. It's like you noticed it's the upvote and nothing else. I notice the same if it comes to the curators. They mainly stay in their own circle (time for me to start my circle there are about 6 I know they are Dutch and I can add 2 or 3 people from Belgium to my list.).

Personally, I think that the idea of the Newcomers' Community should be dumped entirely. If people want to read an Introduction post, they'll find it.
Similar to alexanderkass, I wrote an introduction and waited for a response. Hours passed and I thought "What's taking so long?" "Why hasn't anybody said hi?" But when 1 out of 100 Introductions should stand out, it doesn't. It is lost because of the hundreds of pointless entries before them. I understand that now. But there will definitely be hundreds of bloggers who have poured their heart into something (more than once), had no engagement and thought "nah. This isn't for me".
I've sometimes thought "Perhaps all of us who are different should find our own corner and be together" but then even us different folk seek different things - even if we have the same mindset.
And that's where my sadness lies (in response to your other comment) - there are perhaps enough like-minded people but not enough with like-minded interests for feel a sense of belonging. At the moment.

Unfortunately, there are people who do not use their IQ in something productive, some have taken on the task of creating multiple accounts to feed them with vague and low-quality content, the common factors are AI-generated texts, blurry images and little interaction in terms of comments.

I think AI will be a threat to the future of humanity. Many people will get used to using it to do their university work, without even making the effort to learn. We will depend on AI to solve the new challenges we will face with climate change and the diseases that are developing. I barely had a computer, let alone the internet when I was studying at university.

I never had a computer it was long before my time and neither had my eldest.. it came way later and next school said we should by a printer as well. Today I heard a primary school child work with a tablet so most of them can not even hold a pen or pencil. It will not be good for the brain if it is never trained. Kind of sad.
It's only a few weeks ago my youngest said children at school use AI to do their homework. I wonder how they remember the stuff if they have an exam but it feels as if school and university no longer care about knowledge. My sons says he's getting more stupid every day. It frustrates him.

It is true, schools are not interested in the methods that students use to complete their tasks, in fact, they have reduced the number of in-person and handwritten exams, that is, they are giving them the freedom to graduate without developing their own knowledge.
