If people talk about noses, wet noses it's always about their dog. A dog should have a wet nose. Wet is good because wet means healthy. Dogs should be healthy because sick dogs are a bad.
Humans say the dog is their best friend but I don't think so. Not if you are as sick as a dog. Not if it means they need to clean up behind you. Not if they need to take you to the vet or worse pay the bill. Vets are expensive and have no idea how to treat you. They just give it a try, pretend and write a bill.
A human with a wet nose is not healthy. Wet means snotty. In the worst scenario they don't use a hanky and just let the drops drip where they go. Humans with wet noses can't smell.
Have a look at me. It's so much better to have a nose like mine. Wet or dry my nose is always fine. I easily smell what's underground. My nose is a useful tool. I'm better than a dog. I stay outside. I don't bark or wreck the place if I'm bored. You don't need a vet for me. I'm the easiest pet in the world. I'm smart. We can cuddle and you can roll in the mud with me and I can even give you my heart.

At first I thought about dogs, that's true. But then I remembered that my father had a perpetually runny nose, which I seem to be developing now too. Something to do with the family sinuses.

It's embarrassing mostly. It happens more when I am eating, so I have to make sure I have a bit of tissue to discreetly dab my nose with. Happens all year. In my family, it's caused by polyps. Most of my siblings have had surgery to remove these, but I don't do surgery unless my life depends on it. It's not that bad.

I wonder if it happens more if you eat warm food or because you bend your head in a certain way.
I wouldn't go for surgery either. My cousin did because he could hardly breathe. It only became worse. My child seems to have the same problem. Says his nose is useless. Always closed but allergies too. So sneezing and billion of handkerchiefs. What he uses a week I haven't used in my entire life. At times he stuffs his nose with paperhandkerchief or toiletpaper if he keeps sneezing or his nose drips.
Therefore I have Sjögren...no fun either.
